FMF Members News

We are pleased to announce that the FMF website is now listed in the leading search engine, Google, as well as a number of others. 

Amonst the other major search engines, FMF is listed in CompuServe, HotBot, AltaVista, Netscape Netcenter, LookSmart, AOL Search, FAST Search (alltheweb.com), Teoma, Lycos, WiseNut and Yahoo!

The FMF website has now been completed and is ready for members to use. 

All existing members should take an early opportunity to register online, as this will automatically generate their company profile for display in the Members Directory as appropriate.  This also applies to Sponsors but their listing will not be displayed until authorised by FMF Admin.

Once the registration process has been successfully completed, members can log in to view their company and contact details, and make any amendments or additions they wish.  In this respect, the 500-character business summary (or sales message) can be added, enabling you to inform end users about your company or products.

As the site is nearing completion, several features are already in place and functioning correctly, including meeting dates, news, articles, aims and membership rules amongst others.

The Meetings Attendance Notification Form has also been completed, enabling members and sponsors to notify their intention to send a delegate to a meeting using the online form.

A drop-down selection option on the form is fed dynamically from the meetings database, and lists the next 5 scheduled meetings.  Being dynamic, this list is automatically updated whenever FMF Admin change the meeting details, thus ensuring that you are always presented with up-to-date details of forthcoming meetings.

The Attendance Notification form can be accessed by clicking Member Attendance or Sponsor Attendance from the navigation menu on the left of the screen.

The members online registration and login facility is now complete, enabling existing and potential members to register online at any time.

Once the details have been "registered" within the database, the registrant's company and contact (optional) details will be instantly displayed in the Members Directory.

Only basic company and contact details are required to be entered during the registration process, but members can login at any time to add further information or update their existing details. 

Of particular importance is the 500-character business summary, which enables members to provide an outline of their company's operations, or use it as an advertising or sales message.  Remember that the Members Directory will be visible to all web users, so the summary could prove invaluable as a mini-marketing tool.

Food Manufacturing Forum are pleased to announce that their new website is in the process of being designed and should be fully functional by March 2005.

As well as covering items of interest to members, the site will also include a Member's "Yellow Page" Directory, providing member companies with a display listing their primary contact information and summary of their operations.

Dynamically fed news items and food related articles will also be an integral part of the new site.
